How we actually work.

Discovery
A week, not a quarter.We read your code or your deck, talk to two of your users, ship a one-page diagnosis. No 40-slide audit deck. If we are not the right fit, we tell you in the diagnosis.

Shape
Scope shrinks before code grows.We co-write a six-week shape doc covering the smallest interesting version. Pivots happen here, not after week four. You sign it; we build it.

Build
Friday demos. Always.A working build deploys every Friday. Notion log, Linear board, GitHub PRs, open by default. You get the source on day one, not on launch day.

Hand-off & hold
We do not disappear.Two-week stabilization included on every project. After that, optional monthly retainer. The handover is in code, not Loom videos.

dev5ive started in 2024 in Lahore as a side project of engineers tired of seeing decks become deliverables.
Today we are a five-person remote team based in Lahore. Engineers first. No account managers, no PMs handing requirements down a chain. The person you brief is the person who ships the code.

Project sprints
Fixed-scope · 4–12 weeks · outcome-defined
Pay against deliverables, not hours. Scope is co-shaped in the first week and frozen against a shape doc you sign. A typical sprint ships one well-defined product surface.
Partnerships
Embedded · monthly retainer · 3 month minimum
Pair on architecture, ship features, review PRs alongside your team. Cap of two concurrent partnerships at any time. Average tenure: four months.
